From prediction to impact: build models that make marketing smarter.

– To be considered for this role, you must already live in the Netherlands. Unfortunately, we are not able to support relocation or applications from abroad –

Are you able to turn large volumes of data into valuable insights? Do you have experience developing predictive models and automating analyses? Then we have the perfect job for you at Yellowgrape!

As a Data Scientist, you play a key role in uncovering and predicting trends, behaviour and needs. You work on topics such as Marketing Mix Modelling, attribution modelling and incrementality testing. Sometimes that means building a model. Sometimes it means distilling a complex analysis down to one crystal-clear choice: continue, adjust or stop.

With your expertise, you add value across a range of use cases. Within the Data & Intelligence team, you work closely with data consultants, analysts and engineers to develop advanced solutions that both increase efficiency and maximise the impact of marketing campaigns. At Yellowgrape, you get the chance to leave your mark on innovative projects and contribute to the success of our clients.

What you'll love about this role

  • Marketing Mix Modelling, to better understand the impact of channels and budget allocation.
  • Attribution modelling, so we look beyond last-click and distribute revenue value fairly across touchpoints.
  • Incrementality testing, to assess which campaigns, channels or experiments deliver demonstrable added value.
  • Predictive analytics for things like customer lifetime value, churn, repeat purchase and growth opportunities.
  • Clear analyses and visualisations that marketers, strategists and clients can put to use straight away.

Why this role fits you

  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, a Data Analyst with a modelling focus, or relevant work experience with statistics or econometric models;
  • you're comfortable working with Python, SQL and data analysis;
  • you find marketing data interesting and understand that context matters as much as technique;
  • you take a critical view of assumptions, data quality and measurability;
  • you communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues;
  • you get energy from collaborating in multidisciplinary client teams.
  • You have experience with cloud platforms (preferably the Google Cloud stack);
  • familiar with Bayesian modelling or other statistical methods;
  • fluent in Dutch and English (both spoken and written);
  • you want to work in an organisation that is driven by its culture;
  • you look forward to working in a committed team;
  • you're able to identify problems, raise them and seek out solutions;
  • you're available at least 32 hours per week.
